Manila: Caltex will implement a price hike on its diesel and kerosene products starting Thursday, marking the second increase this week and aligning their rates with those of competitors.
According to Philippines News Agency, the advisory released by Caltex on Wednesday outlined the changes effective from 6:01 a.m. on July 24. The price of diesel will rise by PHP0.45 per liter, while kerosene will see an increase of PHP0.20 per liter.
The company clarified that there will be no price movement for its gasoline products, Platinum and Silver. This adjustment follows a general trend seen earlier in the week, where oil firms raised prices for the second consecutive week. The increases are attributed to trends in the international market, which have been influenced by the demand outlook and ongoing concerns regarding US tariff policies.
