Caraga Destinations Take Spotlight at Central Philippines Tourism Expo 2026

Calabarzon: The Department of Tourism in Caraga Region (DOT-13) will showcase the region's destinations at the Central Philippines Tourism Expo (CPTEx) 2026, which runs from June 26 to 28 in CALABARZON. Joining DOT-13 are local government units from Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Butuan City, along with private sector groups including tourism transport operators and package service providers from Caraga.

According to Philippines News Agency, DOT-13 Regional Director Ivonnie Dumadag expressed enthusiasm about bringing the Caraga Region to CALABARZON through this annual tourism showcase. She emphasized the importance of Filipino travelers discovering more reasons to appreciate the Philippines, highlighting Caraga and other Mindanao destinations during the event.

Dumadag invited visitors to explore the pristine white-sand islands, landscapes, and cultural experiences that the Caraga Region offers. Despite the ongoing fuel crisis, she encouraged travelers to continue exploring new places, stating that traveling meaningfully supports the communities and livelihoods that depend on tourism.

The CPTEx is organized by the Department of Tourism and features participation from its regional offices and stakeholders nationwide.
