Caraga Police Enhance Internal Cleansing with 7,000 Drug Test Kits

Caraga: The Police Regional Office in the Caraga Region (PRO-13) has bolstered its internal cleansing program with the acquisition of 7,000 drug test kits, donated by two private sector stakeholders. These kits were officially received by Deputy Regional Director for Administration Col. Rommel Rumbaoa and Deputy Regional Director for Operations Col. James Goforth on Monday, marking a significant step towards strengthening the command's efforts to maintain discipline and integrity within the force.

According to Philippines News Agency, the donation was made by PLDT-Smart Foundation and One Meralco Foundation, both of which are members of the Regional Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (RAGPTD-13). Maj. Jennifer Ometer, PRO-13 information office chief, expressed gratitude towards the group, acknowledging their ongoing support in various community engagements.

In a statement, PRO-13 Director Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano Magistrado IV highlighted the importance of the donation in promoting accountability and professionalism. He reiterated the command's zero-tolerance stance against any form of misconduct, assuring the public of PRO-13's unwavering commitment to cleansing its ranks and maintaining organizational integrity.

Brig. Gen. Magistrado further noted that the availability of these drug test kits will aid in the effective implementation of strategies to eliminate "misfits" within the police force, ultimately reinforcing public trust and enhancing institutional credibility.
