Caraga State University Achieves Level IV Accreditation for Five Academic Programs

Butuan city: The Caraga State University (CSU) welcomed the results of its program assessment from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP, Inc.), showing that four undergraduate programs and one graduate program have achieved Level IV accreditation.

According to Philippines News Agency, with the latest result, CSU now has 16 programs with the highest level of academic accreditation from AACCUP, Inc. The university expressed that this achievement further motivates the institution to enhance quality and relevant academic programs in the Caraga Region.

The newly accredited programs, evaluated by AACCUP, Inc. in July of this year, include the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Applied Mathematics, BS in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, BS in Electronic Engineering, BS in Information Systems, and the Master of Science in Mathematics. These programs excelled across all areas of evaluation, earning an average grand mean of 4.60 that demonstrated their competence in research, graduate outcomes, community engagement, international linkages and consortia, and strategic planning processes.

In September, two CSU programs-Bachelor of Elementary Education and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture-were also awarded Level IV status by AACCUP, Inc. The CSU emphasized that through aligning learning outcomes with institutional goals and systematically assessing performance, it ensures its education remains quality-assured, globally competitive, and future-ready.
