CCC Receives 10th Consecutive Unmodified Opinion from COA

Manila: The Climate Change Commission (CCC) has received its 10th consecutive unmodified opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA) for its financial statements for the year ended Dec. 31, 2024, demonstrating its commitment to transparency and accountability within its operations.

According to Philippines News Agency, the unmodified opinion, the highest given by the COA, affirmed that the CCC's financial statements present fairly its financial position and performance, cash flows, changes in net assets/equity, and the comparison of budget and actual amounts, in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).

The audit was conducted in accordance with the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAIs), and the COA has confirmed that there were no material misstatements or irregularities found during the audit process.

'We would like to acknowledge our officers and staff for this decade-long work,' CCC Commissioner Robert E.A. Borje said in a news release on Monday.

'This milestone is a challenge to continue working on delivering our mandate with fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability, consistent with the vision of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'

The CCC extends its gratitude to its finance and accounting teams, stakeholders, and partners for their continued support and dedication to upholding the highest standards of public sector governance.
