Classes Suspended in Tubajon Due to Heavy Rains

Tubajon: Classes in all levels in Tubajon, Dinagat Islands are suspended Thursday due to imminent weather hazards. This suspension comes as the easterlies continue to bring heavy rains and strong winds to the town and other areas of Dinagat Islands.

According to Philippines News Agency, Mayor Simplicia Pedrablanca issued Executive Order (EO) No. 04, urging residents to take precautionary measures. The EO specifically mentions that outdoor activities are strictly prohibited until weather conditions improve and safety is assured.

Residents of Tubajon are also encouraged to participate in pre-emptive or forced evacuation operations to ensure their safety. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration on Thursday stated that scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies will prevail over Caraga, Davao de Oro, and Davao Oriental.
