Clergy, Lay Leaders to Discuss Pope Francis’ Reforms in Cavite

Cavite: The Diocese of Imus is set to host a series of conference-workshops on Pope Francis' reforms and synodal implementation in the first quarter of 2025. The events will be conducted on January 14, February 6, and March 6 at St. Mary's Girlstown in Silang town, Cavite province. According to Philippines News Agency, the diocese announced that at least 120 members of the clergy, religious and seminarians, along with 70 lay leaders, are expected to attend the conference-workshops. The sessions will be facilitated by the Love Our Pope Movement (LOPM) with assistance from De La Salle University - Dasmarinas, Cavite Campus Ministry. The workshops will cover topics such as a history of Church reforms and understanding the Final Document of the Synod of Bishops of Synodality, which was issued in October 2024, and its implementation in local churches. Former Commission on Elections Commissioner Rene Sarmiento and actress-comedienne Candy Pangilinan, both LOPM convenors, will serve as speakers on the first and se cond days, respectively.
