Antipolo City: Concreat Holdings Philippines, a majority-owned subsidiary of DMCI Holdings, announced the full operations of the new production line at its Solid Cement Plant in Antipolo City. The new production line became fully operational last month, enhancing the facility's annual capacity from 1.9 million tons to 3.4 million tons.
According to Philippines News Agency, the expansion will enable Concreat to ensure a steady supply of cement, which is crucial for the construction of homes, roads, bridges, and other critical infrastructure. Herbert Consunji, president and chief executive officer of Concreat Holdings Philippines, stated that the expansion marks a significant step in the company's recovery, emphasizing increased capacity, improved kiln efficiency, and the use of Semirara coal to reduce production costs.
The project is anticipated to generate both direct and indirect employment opportunities in nearby communities, fostering long-term local resilience through skills training, employee development, and livelihood programs. The expansion has been granted fiscal incentives and an income tax holiday by the Board of Investments.
