Converge Revenue Climbs 14% to P29.9-B, Net Income Up 29%.

Manila: Fiber broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. (Converge) on Wednesday reported a 14 percent increase in its consolidated revenues to PHP29.9 billion in the first nine months of the year and a 29 percent year-on-year increase in net income to PHP8.2 billion. Converge CEO Dennis Anthony Uy said the increase was driven by strong performance in the company's residential, enterprise, and wholesale businesses. According to Philippines News Agency, Uy stated in an online press conference that the company's initiatives are continuing to yield positive results, highlighting partnerships with tech companies and government projects as significant contributors. In the first nine months of 2024, the company added over 330,000 residential subscribers, with more than 108,000 joining in the third quarter alone. Converge ended the period with a total of 2.46 million subscribers, marking a 13.2 percent growth in residential revenues to PHP25.4 billion. For its enterprise business, revenues improved by 19 perc ent to PHP4.5 billion, with all segments showing double-digit growth, including a 16.6 percent increase in the wholesale segment year-on-year. Converge chief commercial officer Benjamin Azada emphasized the company's plan to leverage its extensive network to introduce cloud-based technologies and value-added services. Azada mentioned that aligning with future customer requirements is a strategic focus, aiming to integrate core products with seamless services to retain existing customers and attract new market segments. Among these offerings is a collaboration with Netflix to introduce a new residential subscription plan, Converge Netflix Bundles. Starting at PHP1,798 per month, this plan provides customers with an enhanced FiberX plan alongside specific Netflix subscription tiers. Additionally, Converge announced that its minimum speed boost of 100 Megabits per second (Mbps) for all FiberX subscribers is now permanent. The basic FiberX 1500 plan will offer up to 300 Mbps, while the plan 3500 will provide s peeds up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps).
