Manila: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) on Wednesday warned the public against individuals and groups illegally using its name, logo, and official identity to carry out deceptive activities. According to Philippines News Agency, CSC Chairperson Marilyn Yap stated, "We have received reports of individuals and groups illegally using the CSC logo and falsely presenting themselves as connected with the Commission." She emphasized that these actions deceive the public, undermine the integrity of CSC services, and expose unsuspecting individuals to potential fraud and misinformation. The CSC clarified that it has not authorized any individual, organization, review center, or entity to use its name, logo, or former emblem for promotions, solicitations, recruitment campaigns, production of materials, or enrollment drives. Yap warned that the CSC is prepared to take legal action against those unlawfully exploiting the Commission's identity for personal gain or to mislead the public. Furthermore, the agency clar ified it does not conduct review classes, sell examination reviewers, or distribute review materials for the August 9, 2026, Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) or any future examinations. The public is advised to verify communications and rely only on official CSC channels. Yap highlighted that the commission maintains one official account each on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, while each regional office operates a single official Facebook page. Citizens are urged to report unauthorized groups, with Yap stressing that public vigilance remains a key defense against fraud.
