DAR to Release 2,690 Land Titles to Caraga Farmer-Beneficiaries.

BUTUAN CITY: The Department of Agrarian Reform in Caraga (DAR-13) is preparing to distribute 2,690 certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) to farmer-beneficiaries. This distribution event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, and will cover approximately 4,077 hectares of agricultural land. According to Philippines News Agency, the distribution ceremony will be held at the provincial capitol grounds in Prosperidad town, Agusan del Sur province. A total of 2,480 agrarian reform beneficiaries from Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur are set to receive their land titles. The CLOAs are distributed under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project, a collaborative effort between the Philippine government and the World Bank. DAR Undersecretary Rowena Taduran and DAR-13 Regional Director Merlita Capinpuyan will lead the distribution event. Among the beneficiaries, 2,048 are from Agusan del Sur, while 432 are from Surigao del Sur. The land distribution includes 3,290 hectares i n Agusan del Sur and 787 hectares in Surigao del Sur. DAR-13 highlighted that this distribution of CLOAs is a direct outcome of directives from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III aimed at expediting the implementation of agrarian reform.
