Davao City: Authorities seized over PHP3.5 million worth of shabu here during a series of operations from June 15-21, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) reported on Thursday.

According to Philippines News Agency, DCPO acting Director Colonel Hansel Marantan detailed that their units conducted 28 anti-drug operations during the period, leading to the arrest of 35 individuals involved in illicit drug activities. DCPO data indicated that the operations resulted in the total seizure of 570.05 grams of shabu.

Colonel Marantan expressed gratitude to the barangay officials, community members, and the city government for their support, which was crucial to the success of these operations.

In addition to the anti-drug operations, the DCPO also carried out 44 operations targeting wanted individuals, successfully apprehending 44 persons, including 14 who were listed as most wanted.

Furthermore, DCPO's efforts against illegal gambling resulted in the arrest of 15 gamblers across 15 operations. Authorities confiscated a total of PHP10,276 in bet money, and cases were filed against the violators.
