Davao city: The Davao City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) on Friday, placing the city under "blue alert" in preparation for the All Saints' and All Souls' Day observances on Nov. 1 and 2. In anticipation of increased gatherings in cemeteries and communal spaces, the CDRRMO heightened its alert to blue, preparing for any incidents that may necessitate immediate emergency assistance. This level also calls for strengthened disaster preparedness, resource augmentation, and strategic deployment of emergency assets to ensure public safet y. The alert level is set to remain active until Nov. 3, as millions are expected to travel to cemeteries and burial sites across the city.
