Davao: The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Davao Region (DSWD-11) will begin the regional payout of Cash Relief Assistance (CRA) for qualified transportation network vehicle service (TNVS) and service delivery drivers from June 1 to 6, the agency announced Friday.

According to Philippines News Agency, each beneficiary will receive PHP5,000 in cash aid to help cope with rising fuel prices. The relief is part of the agency's Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation program, designed to support public utility drivers in meeting basic needs amid rising operational costs.

"To qualify for the grant, drivers are required to hold a valid permit and a professional driver's license," DSWD-11 reminded. Beneficiaries must also present their original license and a photocopy with three specimen signatures during the payout.

The agency has yet to release the number of beneficiaries, pending submission of the official list from Transport Network Companies (TNCs) and Private Express and Messengerial Delivery Service (PEMDES) providers. DSWD-11 advised drivers to wait for instructions from their TNCs or PEMDES for their scheduled payout date and time.
