This bloodletting drive marks the first-time partnership between the University of the Philippines Manila (UPM) and the DBM for such an event. UPM's affiliate organizations, including the UP Pahinungod, Phi Kappa Mu and Mu Sigma Phi Fratern ities, and Phi Lambda Delta and Mu Sigma Phi Sororities, will also be involved in the initiative. Additionally, personnel from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology will volunteer to support the activity. Coca-Cola Philippines has been named as the sponsor for the bloodletting drive. The event upholds Republic Act 7719, known as the National Blood Services Act of 1994, which encourages voluntary blood donation to ensure a safe and adequate blood supply for the nation.
