INC to Hold Rally Supporting President Marcos Jr.’s Anti-Impeachment Stance.

Manila: The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) is organizing a rally to back President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s appeal to lawmakers to refrain from filing an impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte. This initiative aims to demonstrate the INC's support for peace and its alignment with the President's stance on the matter. According to Philippines News Agency: In a report broadcasted on the INC-operated network Net25, Gen Subardiaga, host of the "Sa Ganang Mamamayan" program, emphasized that an impeachment complaint against the Vice President is not a priority, especially when there are more pressing issues that demand attention. This translates to the INC's commitment to peace and its opposition to any conflict, as well as its early organizational efforts to hold large gatherings in support of President Marcos Jr.'s opinion against impeachment. President Marcos Jr. has publicly stated his opposition to calls for the Vice President's impeachment, arguing that such actions would not benefit the Filipino populace. Despite the President's stance, two separate impeachment complaints have been filed in the House of Representatives against Vice President Duterte this week. The most recent of these complaints was lodged on Wednesday by the Makabayan bloc, which cited allegations of betrayal of public trust. Earlier, on Monday, another impeachment complaint was submitted, listing grounds such as culpable violation of the constitution, graft and corruption, bribery, betrayal of public trust, and other high crimes.
