Bacolod city: The Department of Environment and Natural Resources Negros Island Region (DENR-NIR) is set to implement a four-day flexible work arrangement from January 5 to March 27. This pilot scheme will apply to the regional, provincial, and community environment and natural offices across Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor, as outlined in a special order issued by Regional Executive Director Charlie Fabre. The directive aligns with DENR Department Administrative Order 2025-34 and follows discussions during an online meeting.
According to Philippines News Agency, the FWA Scheme B introduces a compressed workweek with employees working from Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., totaling 10 hours per day. This special order is set to take effect immediately and will continue through the pilot period, subject to evaluation and potential further instructions from the DENR central office.
In a Facebook post, the DENR-NIR informed clients and stakeholders to conduct transactions during official working days and hours. Despite the modified schedule, the DENR-NIR will continue to provide essential services on Fridays through an online frontline services system available at http://58.69.224.113/fmi/webd/ofss-nir.
The online system will also be accessible via the official Facebook page, "DENR Negros Island and Siquijor Region," created to address queries and concerns. Designated focal persons have been assigned to manage and respond to inquiries, ensuring continued public assistance.
