Valenzuela city: The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and its key shelter agencies (KSAs) have intensified the implementation of the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program. The initiative, which aims to expedite homeownership for thousands of Filipinos, saw simultaneous housing activities in Valenzuela City and Cavite.

According to Philippines News Agency, the DHSUD announced that the Social Housing Finance Corp. (SHFC) awarded more than PHP47 million in housing assistance in Valenzuela City. Concurrently, the National Housing Authority (NHA) commenced two significant projects in Naic, Cavite. DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling emphasized that the accelerated rollout aligns with the administration's commitment to using dignified living spaces as a means of poverty reduction, as instructed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

In Valenzuela City, Secretary Aliling and SHFC President Federico Laxa handed over checks totaling PHP47.6 million to the Archangel Sword II Homeowners' Association, Inc. in Barangay Lawang Bato. The financial aid, part of the Enhanced Community Mortgage Program (ECMP), will support land acquisition for 256 member beneficiaries who have occupied the area for nearly two decades. Since the ECMP's revival under the 4PH framework, the SHFC has approved 45 projects nationwide, benefiting over 7,700 families.

Simultaneously, the NHA initiated the Naic View Residences Phase 2 and Glori Mor Ville Phase 2 in Barangay Calubcob, Naic, Cavite. These projects will provide 590 housing units for families displaced by government infrastructure projects and those impacted by the Supreme Court Mandamus for the Manila Bay rehabilitation.

DHSUD Undersecretary Roman Nicholo Molina, representing Secretary Aliling, led the awarding of land titles to qualified beneficiaries of existing NHA programs, including recipients of fully paid house-and-lot units. Secretary Aliling highlighted that these integrated efforts across various agencies aim to ensure that no Filipino is left behind in the pursuit of secure shelter.

Secretary Aliling reiterated the commitment to expanding housing projects, aiming to provide every Filipino with the opportunity for homeownership, which he described as a crucial foundation for a prosperous and dignified future.
