Ilocos norte: The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in Ilocos Norte is set to train owners and employees of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to level up their digital skills and boost their businesses.
According to Philippines News Agency, the free training, titled "Social Media Marketing 2.0: A Paradigm Shift in AI-Powered Interaction," is scheduled from September 1 to 6 at the DICT building in Barangay 3, located behind the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena. The initiative aims to empower MSMEs in Region 1 by enhancing their digital marketing capabilities using advanced AI-powered tools and strategies, as stated by DICT Ilocos Norte chief Gerald Victor Calamaan.
The DICT announced that only 25 slots are available for the training program. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in using computers and internet browsers, and they must have access to a reliable desktop or laptop with a stable internet connection. This requirement ensures that the participants can fully engage with the training's digital components.
The comprehensive training is part of a nationwide effort by the DICT to equip MSME owners and employees with essential skills in social media management, content creation, and digital engagement. These skills are intended to accelerate business growth in the rapidly evolving digital landscape, providing MSMEs with the tools needed to stay competitive and expand their reach in the market.
