Manila: The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has introduced eTrabaho, an innovative AI-powered job-matching and resume-building feature integrated into the eGovPH Super App, enabling Filipinos to search and apply for jobs from the comfort of their homes.
According to Philippines News Agency, in a recent interview on PTV's Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon, DICT E-Government Undersecretary David Almirol Jr. highlighted that this new feature transforms the app into a virtual job fair. Users can now easily create resumes using the AI tool, which allows them to upload their existing resume and have it automatically transformed into an enhanced CV. Additionally, the job-matching engine pairs job seekers with potential employers based on their profiles.
The DICT aims to expand eTrabaho through collaborations with the Department of Labor and Employment, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Professional Regulation Commission, and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Almirol also mentioned the forthcoming eFolder feature, being developed with CHED, which will enable users to attach digital copies of their diplomas and other credentials directly to their digital resumes.
Accessible via the eGovPH Super App, available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store, eTrabaho is part of a broader platform with 61 million users. The app already offers services such as Land Transportation Office transactions, medical and financial assistance requests, and an eReport platform for filing complaints with government agencies.
Further enhancements to eGovPH are in the pipeline. Almirol revealed that the Bureau of Internal Revenue is set to integrate its services into the app, a project two years in the making. Additionally, the Social Security System will soon join other agencies like PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG Fund, enabling users to manage contributions and benefits in one place.
The DICT is also working on integrating passport renewal and Philippine National Police clearance services, allowing these processes to be completed online. A 911 integration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government is forthcoming, providing a secure way to report emergencies through the app.
For overseas Filipino workers, a One-Stop Shop feature is being developed with the Department of Migrant Workers and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, offering access to essential government services from abroad. Moreover, the DICT plans to expand its eGov Serbisyo Centers, currently in San Juan and Cebu, to other regions to assist those who prefer in-person transactions.
