Manila: The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 (Soccsksargen) has provided assistance to 359 workers and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the region in 2025 through its Adjustment Measures Program (AMP).

According to Philippines News Agency, DOLE-12 stated that it released PHP7,906,081 to help enterprises sustain operations, protect jobs, and adapt to prevailing economic challenges. The assistance, implemented throughout the year, benefited 16 establishments from various sectors, including agriculture, food processing, education, retail, services, and coffee-related enterprises.

Of the assisted firms, 10 were micro enterprises, four were small enterprises, and two were medium enterprises. Beneficiaries included cooperatives, agribusiness companies, food manufacturers, coffee shops, service providers, and learning institutions.

DOLE reported that the AMP interventions helped firms retain workers, stabilize income streams, and enhance productivity through support for equipment, raw materials, and operational needs, contributing to employment preservation and local economic resilience. OIC Regional Director Raymond Fel Sajor stated that the program is part of the government's broader labor and employment recovery and sustainability initiatives, aimed at keeping enterprises viable while safeguarding workers' welfare.

DOLE-12 reiterated its commitment to continue rolling out responsive labor and employment programs that promote decent work, enterprise recovery, and long-term economic stability in the region.
