Caraga: The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 13 (Caraga Region) distributed learning kits to 350 vulnerable children this week to support their education.

According to Philippines News Agency, the distribution on Nov. 11-12 benefited children at GESU Eucharistico Children's, Inc. in Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, and Gacub Elementary School in Carmen, Surigao del Sur. The agency stated that the distribution of the kits is part of their initiative to support school children through programs focused on literacy, family engagement, and holistic child development.

The children are beneficiaries of Project Bahandi, which provides safe homes for abandoned, neglected, and abused children. The learning kits included paper, pencils, erasers, crayons, and sharpeners.
