Manila: The 'Balik Eskwela Diskwento' promo taking place from June 9-21 will serve as an opportunity for parents and children to purchase school supplies at reduced prices, as announced by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Antique.
According to Philippines News Agency, the initiative will involve six DTI partner stores offering discounts on school supplies, uniforms, and bags in preparation for the upcoming school term. DTI Antique Provincial Director Mary Jade Gonzales confirmed in an interview that the partnering stores include Gian's Enterprises, B.E.Y. Enterprise, City Square Realty and Development Co., Fabulous Jeans and Shirts and General Merchandise, Inc., Unitop General Merchandise Inc., and TJK Merchandising.
Discounts available at these partner stores in San Jose de Buenavista range from five to 20 percent, and some stores offer premiums or additional items when purchasing bundled products. This strategy aims to provide cost-effective options for families gearing up for the new academic year.
DTI personnel have been actively monitoring prices and the availability of supplies in stores ahead of the Balik Eskwela Diskwento launch. Gonzales noted that price monitoring occurs weekly in San Jose de Buenavista and monthly across the other 17 towns in the province.
