Antique: The Department of Trade and Industry's (DTI) office in Antique is currently accepting proposals for shared service facilities (SSF) from interested parties.
According to Philippines News Agency, DTI-Antique Director Mary Jade Gonzales stated in an interview that the department has already received three proposals this month, which are under review for submission to their regional office. These proposals include a PHP993,450 project for meat processing by the Persons Deprived of Liberty at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, San Jose District Jail; a PHP980,500 initiative for food processing and toll packaging by the Dao Overseas Workers Association, Inc. (DOWA); and a PHP995,800 meat processing project by the Pandan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC).
Gonzales mentioned that there are still opportunities for more proposals to be submitted. In addition to the new proposals, she noted that procurement is in progress for three other proposals approved last year by their regional office. These include a PHP2.99 million SSF for meat processing by the Sibalom Livestock and Poultry Raisers Association (SILPRA), Inc.; a PHP2.95 million greening project for dairy milk processing and packaging by the Belison MPC; and a PHP2.07 million greening initiative for animal and livestock feed production by the Patnongon MPC.
The delivery of the SSF equipment to the approved cooperators is anticipated in the coming months. These facilities aim to boost the productivity and competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises within the province.
