Manila: Easterlies and the northeast monsoon (amihan) will continue to bring rains over parts of the country, the weather bureau said Tuesday.
According to Philippines News Agency, in its 5 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Quezon, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to easterlies.
The advisory also indicates that cloudy skies with rains will prevail over Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora as a result of the northeast monsoon. Furthermore, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Central Luzon will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by amihan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, attributed to the influence of easterlies. Northern Luzon is forecasted to experience strong northeast winds and rough coastal waters.
Central Luzon and the eastern section of Southern Luzon will encounter moderate to rough seas due to strong northeast winds. Meanwhile, the rest of the country is anticipated to have light to moderate east to northeast winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
