Generally Fair Weather Expected Across Philippines Thursday: PAGASA

Manila: Generally fair weather will prevail across the country Thursday, with isolated rain showers expected due to the southwest monsoon (habagat) and localized thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

According to Philippines News Agency, in its 5 a.m. advisory, PAGASA stated that no low-pressure area is expected to develop inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility over the next four to five days.

Weather specialist Leanne Loreto indicated that Luzon will experience warm and humid conditions, except for Batanes and the Babuyan Islands, where the southwest monsoon (habagat) may bring isolated rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

The Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan will generally experience fair weather.

Light to moderate south to southwest winds and moderate coastal waters will prevail nationwide.
