GSIS Innovations Make Transactions Easier for 40K Cordillera Clients

Baguio: Processes of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is now 98 percent digital, and the agency bids to continue using artificial intelligence to address members' queries.

According to Philippines News Agency, GSIS president and general manager Jose Arnulfo Veloso highlighted the agency's digital transformation during the inauguration of the GSIS-Baguio office. The Baguio office serves 162 agencies across Baguio, Benguet, and Mountain Province, supporting over 30,000 active members and approximately 9,700 pensioners and surviving spouses.

Veloso stated that GSIS members, pensioners, and surviving spouses can now access services through the GSIS Touch app on their phones. He emphasized that loan application proceeds, once approved, are transferred to the member's account by the end of the office hours.

Furthermore, pensioners required to provide proof of life for continued pension receipt can now simply use the GSIS app to scan their face, eliminating the need for physical reporting, which is particularly beneficial for those with mobility challenges.

The advancements are part of GSIS's ongoing commitment to ease of doing business, ensuring convenience for its members through digitalization.
