Manila: Several parts of the country will experience rain on Tuesday due to the southwest monsoon, known locally as "habagat," and the easterlies, the state weather bureau said. The habagat will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Zamboanga Peninsula, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Lanao del Norte, and Sultan Kudarat. Moderate to heavy rainfall may trigger flash floods or landslides.

According to Philippines News Agency, the easterlies will bring isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to Cagayan Valley and Aurora. The rest of the country will also experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms, with severe storms possibly causing flash floods or landslides. Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail across the archipelago.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is monitoring Super Typhoon Bavi, which was located 2,010 kilometers east of Central Luzon, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), as of 3 a.m. Tuesday. The cyclone is moving west-northwest at 30 kph and is expected to enter the PAR late Tuesday or early Wednesday. It will be given the local name Inday.
