Macau: The Hiroshima Dragonflies of Japan claimed victory over the Taoyuan Pauian Pilots of Chinese Taipei, with a final score of 72-68, in the championship match of the 2024-25 East Asia Super League (EASL) basketball tournament held at the Studio City Event Center.

According to Philippines News Agency, Dwayne Evans was named the Most Valuable Player, contributing substantially to the Dragonflies' triumph with 18 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. This victory marks the Hiroshima Dragonflies as the second B. League champion to secure the EASL trophy, following in the footsteps of the Chiba Jets.

Kerry Blackshear Jr. also played a significant role for Hiroshima, adding 13 points, 15 rebounds, and six assists, while teammate Keijiro Mitani contributed 10 points. On the opposing side, Lu Chun-Hsiang led the Taoyuan Pauian Pilots with 20 points and three rebounds. Treveon Graham supported with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals, and Pai Yao-Cheng added 11 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

In the contest for third place, the New Taipei Kings emerged victorious over the Ryukyu Golden Kings, finishing with a score of 84-80. Jeremy Lin led the Kings with 18 points, while Joseph Lin and Kenneth Manigault Jr. each contributed 16 points. Alex Kirk was a standout for the Golden Kings, scoring 27 points and securing 12 rebounds, with Keve Aluma adding 25 points and 14 rebounds.

The semifinals saw Hiroshima defeating New Taipei, 81-65, and Taoyuan edging out the Ryukyu Golden Kings, 71-64. In the preliminary rounds, Hiroshima (6-5) and Taoyuan (6-4) led Group A, while Ryukyu (6-5) and New Taipei (6-4) led Group B, which advanced them to the Final Four.
