Nagoya: Japan's Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, Crown Prince Akishino, and Crown Princess Kiko will visit Aichi for two days from September 19 to attend the Asian Games, as announced by the Imperial Household Agency.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Imperial Family will participate in the opening ceremony of the games on September 19 at Paloma Mizuho Stadium in Nagoya. During the ceremony, Emperor Naruhito is scheduled to deliver an address. Crown Prince Akishino holds the position of honorary president of the games.
On the second day of their visit, the Emperor and Empress plan to explore Ghibli Park in Nagakute. They will also attend a basketball game in Nagoya before making their way back to Tokyo. Meanwhile, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess are set to watch a water polo match.
