Manila: Most areas in the country will experience isolated rain showers on Thursday, a weather forecaster said. The southwesterly windflow affecting the western section of Northern Luzon, however, will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Bataan, Zambales, and Palawan. "Light to moderate to at times heavy rains will be experienced in those areas. Floods and landslides are possible," Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Benison Estareja said.
According to Philippines News Agency, the rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms. Meanwhile, Estareja said no low pressure area (LPA) is being monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation. "There's an LPA located somewhere over the West Philippine Sea, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, and that is far from the landmass." PAGASA said the LPA is unlikely to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours.
The whole archipelago, meanwhile, will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
