Davao city: The Department of Labor and Employment office in Davao Region (DOLE-11) announced on Friday that 1,843 job openings from 29 local employers will be available at the Kalayaan Job Fair on June 12 in this city.

According to Philippines News Agency, regarding international employers, the agency said it is awaiting the Department of Migrant Workers' endorsement of the initiative. DOLE-11 also announced that they will conduct preregistration and pre-validation from June 8 to 11 at SM City Davao (main building). 'Bring your pertinent documents, such as your resume, biodata, diploma, transcript of records and other relevant credentials for verification,' the agency said in an online post.

DOLE-11 encouraged job seekers to quickly register to access upcoming career opportunities. The agency also provided several preparation guides: create a resume, dress professionally, research the companies, bring all necessary documents and maintain a positive and confident attitude. 'Highlight your skills, experiences, and achievements. Make sure it is updated and tailored to the positions you want to apply for,' DOLE-11 said.

The agency further encouraged job seekers to prepare multiple copies of their resume, cover letter and other relevant documents. Meanwhile, the job fair also invites senior high school graduates to apply, who will be directed to the "green lane." A priority lane will also be available to persons with disabilities, senior citizens and pregnant women.
