Tagaytay: De La Salle University swept all four titles in the inaugural UAAP golf tournament at Tagaytay Midlands.
According to Philippines News Agency, La Salle achieved remarkable success, securing both the men's and women's individual titles as well as both team crowns. Perry Bucay led the Green Archers to victory in the men's individual competition, finishing with a seven-stroke triumph and a four-day total of five-over 293. Bucay's performance was instrumental in the team's success, and he expressed joy at winning the first-ever UAAP golf title.
In the women's division, Julia Lua led the Lady Archers to a dominant finish, securing a 1-2 victory alongside teammate Alexa Dacanay. Lua's performance helped La Salle secure the women's team title by 21 shots over Ateneo. The men's team competition saw La Salle finishing with a commanding 898 total, 30 strokes clear of UP, with contributions from Jacob Cajita and Martin Lu complementing Bucay's efforts.
