Laguna: A bettor from Laguna bagged the PHP31.9 million jackpot in Thursday night's Lotto 6/42.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Friday that the winner from Alaminos, Laguna successfully guessed the winning combination of 20-21-14-41-06-12. The lucky individual now has one year to claim the prize at the PCSO main office located in Mandaluyong City.
Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, any lotto winnings exceeding PHP10,000 will be subjected to a 20 percent tax. In addition to the jackpot winner, 32 other bettors managed to guess five out of the six winning digits, earning themselves PHP34,375 each. Furthermore, 1,819 participants won PHP552.48 each for four correct digits, while 25,958 players will receive PHP20 each for three correct digits.
The 6/42 Lotto is drawn three times a week, on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles urged the public to continue supporting the agency's gaming products in order to generate additional revenues for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities.
