Laguna: Laguna Governor Sol Aragones has urged the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)-Laguna to focus on 'high-impact projects' as the newly elected officers took their oath of office at the Governor's Office.
According to Philippines News Agency, Danilo Lucas, the provincial information officer, stated in a news release that the governor has set a deadline of September 5 for local chief executives to submit their project proposals. The emphasis is on aligning municipal programs with the provincial government's development agenda.
Lucas noted that the oath-taking ceremony represented a unified commitment among Laguna's leaders. The mayors pledged their support for initiatives in various sectors including health, education, tourism, traffic, flood control, environment, and governance, all with a focus on benefiting the people.
The governor also pointed out Laguna's strong investment potential, mentioning that several investors are prepared to bring opportunities to the province. The condition is that these ventures must generate jobs for Lagunenses and ensure tax compliance.
