Limgas Pageant to Highlight Pangasinense Designers’ Creations

Lingayen: This year's Limgas na Pangasinan, an annual provincial beauty pageant, will showcase the evening gowns and creative costumes of 19 Pangasinense creative designers.

According to Philippines News Agency, the evening gowns and creative costumes are products of the Project Masanting: First Pangasinan Designer's Camp for Creative Costume and Evening Gown. Limgas na Pangasinan executive chairperson Maan Tuazon-Guico stated in an interview that they consulted legendary designers to mentor and assist aspiring designers. This initiative was taken to address the cost challenges of creating cultural and evening gowns by organizing a Project Runway-style platform for designers.

Tuazon-Guico mentioned that sponsors were gathered to help with materials while Pangasinense professional designers offered mentorship. The aim is to champion local talents, providing them with the platform and opportunities they deserve. There is also an aspiration to unite all the designers of Pangasinan.

Each designer is paired with a Limgas na Pangasinan candidate. The creative costumes will be displayed by the candidates on the pre-pageant night on April 18, followed by an exhibition from April 19 to 23. The evening gowns will be showcased at the Limgas na Pangasinan 2026 Grand Coronation Night on April 24.
