Negros occidental: A lucky bettor from Negros Occidental bagged the PHP45 million jackpot in Monday night's Grand Lotto 6/55 draw.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced in an advisory on Tuesday that the winning ticket was purchased at Michel Lhuillier Financial Services in Negros Occidental. The ticket matched the winning combination 38-32-08-20-19-09.

In addition to the jackpot winner, 12 bettors successfully selected five out of the six winning numbers, each set to receive PHP116,666.66. Furthermore, 783 players matched four numbers, winning PHP1,660.28 each, while 15,487 bettors will receive PHP60 each for matching three numbers.

The Grand Lotto 6/55 is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Under Republic Act 1169, winners have up to one year from the draw date to claim their prizes.

All jackpot prizes must be claimed at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City. As per the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto prizes exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax deduction.

Winners are required to sign their names on the back of the winning ticket and present two valid government-issued identification documents when claiming their prizes.

PCSO General Manager Mel Robles emphasized the importance of public support for their games, highlighting that the revenue generated helps finance health programs, medical assistance, and various government social services.
