Manila: The Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) has resumed full operation on Wednesday after a comprehensive repair and assessment brought on by an electrical fault located between the Redemptorist-Aseana Station and Baclaran Station. In a statement, the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) -- the private operator of LRT-1 -- said full operations resumed at 5:38 p.m.
According to Philippines News Agency, 'Trains are now running from Fernando Poe Jr. Station to Dr. Santos Station and vice versa,' it said. The repairs and assessments were made by the LRMC's Engineering and Maintenance Team.
'We extend our sincere gratitude for the understanding and patience of our valued passengers during this period. We are committed to providing reliable and excellent transportation services,' it said. At around 9 a.m., the LRMC announced temporary limited operations for the LRT-1, with trains limited to running between Fernando Poe Jr. Station to Gil Puyat Station (southbound) for unloading only, and Vito Cruz Station for loading only.
'These proactive measures are crucial for ensuring safety and reliability across the entire LRT-1 system,' it said.
