According to Philippines News Agency, City Administrator Bernie Ang disclosed on Wednesday that he had issued a memorandum regarding this measure to all relevant offices. The directive, which originates from Mayor Honey Lacuna, is designed to facilitate uninterrupted business activities throughout the city. The suspension applies to all establishments, including those within shopping malls where stalls are located. Furthermore, Ang highlighted that this move aims to prevent harassment and extortion by individuals pretending to be city hall inspectors.
