Manila: Children and senior citizens in the city of Manila are advised to visit health centers and district hospitals to avail of free flu vaccines as the country experiences cold weather. In a social media post, the city government announced the availability of 14,000 flu vaccines in local health facilities.

According to Philippines News Agency, the initiative aims to provide additional protection to children and senior citizens to prevent illness during the current cold weather. The local government unit highlighted that the vaccines are available until supplies last.

The City Government of Manila expressed gratitude to their partner, Distriphil, for donating the 14,000 flu vaccines currently being used by the government. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that the northeast monsoon, known as 'amihan,' will continue to bring cold weather to Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon.
