Marcos Declares July 16 Holiday for Town Fiestas in Albay and Misamis Oriental

Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has declared July 16, 2026, a special non-working day in the municipalities of Malilipot, Albay, and Talisayan, Misamis Oriental to allow residents to celebrate their annual town fiestas.

According to Philippines News Agency, the declaration was made under Proclamation No. 1341 for the Municipality of Malilipot, Albay. Additionally, Proclamation No. 1342 was issued for the Municipality of Talisayan, Misamis Oriental, marking the same date as a special non-working day.

The proclamations aim to provide residents with the opportunity to participate fully in their local festivities. Both proclamations were signed on July 10 by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, by the authority of the President.
