Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is in the final stages of preparing and reviewing his 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA), which he will deliver at the Batasang Pambansa Complex on July 27, Malaca±ang said Thursday.

According to Philippines News Agency, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro confirmed that Marcos has been personally involved in crafting his SONA. She stated that the President is nearly finished with the speech and is currently reviewing it. Castro refrained from revealing specific topics or issues expected to be covered in the address, emphasizing that it would be better for the public to hear the President's words directly on Monday.

Castro assured that the administration's accomplishments would be featured in the President's report to the nation. She hinted at a broad range of priorities likely to be addressed, although she has not reviewed the complete speech. She also avoided commenting on whether Marcos would cover the issue of filing cases related to personalities involved in flood control anomalies, stating that charges would only be pursued when sufficient evidence is available.

Regarding the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte, Castro confirmed that this topic was not discussed in relation to the SONA. She urged the public to wait for the President's address rather than speculate about its contents.

Malaca±ang previously announced that Marcos' upcoming SONA will be simple yet dignified, without the involvement of celebrity directors or star-studded performances.
