Marcos to Grant Service Recognition Incentive to Government Workers

Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is set to grant a one-time Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) to government workers, Malaca±ang announced Friday. In a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro informed that Marcos is expected to sign a document to formalize the release of the incentive.

According to Philippines News Agency, when asked if state workers may expect the SRI and when it will be given, Castro replied with a suggestion to "wait." However, Castro assured government personnel that the Palace would deliver the "good news" once the document is released.

In December 2024, President Marcos issued Administrative Order (AO) 27, which authorized the grant of SRI to qualified government personnel for fiscal year 2024. This included teachers and military and uniformed personnel, who each received PHP20,000. Details regarding the specific amount and the scheduled release of this year's SRI will be announced once the AO is issued.
