KUALA LUMPUR, Midea Group, a global technology and innovation enterprise, has successfully completed its first half (1H) 2024 Campus Recruitment Tour with the final event on July 6 at Stanford University. These recruitment activities also represent a significant step in the company's ongoing pursuit of global expansion and the strategic localisation of innovation, according to a statement. Every year, approximately 15 to 20 per cent of Midea Group's campus recruits have overseas study backgrounds, significantly enriching the company's international talent pool. The recruitment tour saw participation from over 3,000 candidates in four countries, with more than 20 engaging campus offline events conducted, in addition to over 10 specialised round tables tailored for doctoral candidates. Furthermore, the event features in-depth strategic sessions including keynote sessions led by Midea's C-suite executives; cultural deep dive emphasising the company's people-centric philosophy; and innovation showcase featuring its expansive research and development (RandD) network, as well as interactive and immersive experiences such as QandA sessions, roundtable discussions, and alumni sharing. The recruitment is targeted at candidates who are overseas students graduating from January this year to December 2025, where they are allowed to submit resumes online. Candidates were guided through a transparent application, interview, and job offer process; with roles spanning RandD, artificial intelligence, information technology and engineering, that showcased Midea's commitment to diverse skill sets and professional interests; and a chance to work in multicultural environments.
