Manila: More Quadruple A contractors are set to take part in the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, signaling growing private sector confidence in the government's flagship housing initiative led by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
According to Philippines News Agency, the Quadruple A license is the highest classification granted by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) to construction firms that are considered among the most capable, financially stable, and well-established in the country. Thaison Builders and Data Land Inc., both PCAB-licensed Quadruple A contractors, are now in the final stages of talks with the Department and the Pag-IBIG Fund to undertake projects under the Expanded 4PH Program.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling welcomed the interest of the two developers, describing it as a major boost to the nationwide rollout of the government's housing program. Megawide Construction Corporation, another Quadruple A contractor, entered into a memorandum of agreement with the Pag-IBIG to initially build 7,000 socialized housing units nationwide under the 4PH just last month.

That is why this is a significant boost to our continued push for decent, safer, and affordable housing for more Filipino families),' he added.
Since Aliling assumed office, the DHSUD has recalibrated the housing program and introduced additional modalities to widen beneficiary coverage and expand homebuyer options. Aliling also called for stronger private sector participation following the streamlining of the licensing processes and sustained dialogues to better align public and private sector efforts in the housing industry.
He emphasized that private developers play a significant role in Expanded 4PH, as they lead the production of socialized housing.
