N. Ecija Anti-Drug Operation Nets P1.8-M Worth of ‘Shabu’

Manila: A high-value drug suspect was arrested and more than PHP1.8 million worth of suspected shabu was confiscated during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Calipahan, Talavera, Nueva Ecija on Saturday morning.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon) reported that operatives from the Special Drug Enforcement Team of the Talavera Municipal Police, supported by the Police Intelligence Unit and the Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit, conducted the operation at 9:50 a.m. following an intelligence validation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

The police stated that the suspect was apprehended after allegedly selling suspected shabu to an undercover police operative.

Recovered from the suspect were approximately 270 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of PHP1,836,000. The operation also led to the recovery of marked money used in the transaction.

The suspect and seized items were taken to the Talavera Municipal Police for documentation, inventory, and the filing of appropriate charges under existing laws.
