Nartatez Outlines Seven-Point Agenda as PNP Morale Remains High

Manila: Acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. announced that the morale of PNP personnel remains high as he unveiled a comprehensive seven-point agenda aimed at enhancing the police force's operations and management strategies.

According to Philippines News Agency, Nartatez held a command conference at the PNP headquarters at Camp Crame, which was attended by 96 top-ranking PNP officials, including 18 regional directors of Police Regional Offices and heads of National Support Units. Nartatez expressed satisfaction with the participation and highlighted the importance of maintaining high morale among the personnel. He introduced programs focusing on enhanced police operations, combatting crimes like illegal drugs and cybercrime, securing vital installations, and managing police resources effectively.

Nartatez emphasized the need to revisit risk management plans and foster public trust through accountability. During his speech, he stressed the importance of resource management and leadership to improve police operations. He assured that the PNP is committed to preventing violence in the upcoming Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao parliamentary elections on Oct. 13.

He mentioned ongoing preparations and coordination with the Commission on Elections to ensure a fair and secure electoral process. A gun ban is in place in the region from Aug. 14 to Oct. 28, aiming to enhance security during the election period. Additionally, 94 towns in the BARMM have been categorized as areas of grave concern.
