Pasay City: The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) - National Capital Region (NCR) is set to hold a public hearing for domestic workers later this month. In a public notice on Thursday, the NCR wage board announced that the meeting will take place at the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) Building in Pasay City on November 25. The hearing will address the proposed minimum wage adjustment for "kasambahays" in Metro Manila. According to Philippines News Agency, the RTWPB-NCR has called on stakeholders to participate actively in the discussions to express their positions on the proposed wage adjustments. The NCR wage board emphasized the importance of public input, inviting all interested parties to engage in the public hearing. "Your input is valuable," the NCR wage board stated. For those unable to attend the one-day event, the NCR wage board has provided an alternative for submitting position papers. The most recent wage order for domestic workers in the NCR became effective on January 3, 2024, setting their minimum wage at PHP6,500.
