Manila: National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin announced the confiscation of suspected illegal drugs valued at PHP373 million during his initial five months in office.

According to Philippines News Agency, Aberin stated that anti-narcotics teams from NCRPO's five police districts arrested 6,441 suspects during 4,412 anti-drug operations conducted between November 23, 2024, and April 23, 2025. These operations resulted in the seizure of over 49.05 kg of shabu, 250.04 kg of dried marijuana leaves, 1,734 ecstasy tablets, and 2.37 kg of kush, with an estimated street value of PHP373.1 million.

Aberin highlighted the recovery of 1,301 unlicensed firearms, showcasing the NCRPO's commitment to preventing weapons from falling into criminal hands.

Aberin stated, "We do not wait for crime to strike-we prevent it from taking root. These figures represent lives protected, communities secured, and futures reclaimed. Our success is built on action, not reaction."
