Bacolod city: A bettor from Negros Occidental has won the PHP35.4 million Lotto 6/42 jackpot from Saturday night's draw.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Sunday that the winning ticket was purchased in Bacolod City. The winning numbers in the draw were 22-34-42-19-03-25. The lucky winner has a year to claim the PHP35,467,492.71 prize at the PCSO main office located in Mandaluyong City.
In compliance with the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, the winnings over PHP10,000 will incur a 20-percent tax. Alongside the jackpot winner, 40 other bettors each won PHP27,500 for matching five of the six winning numbers. Additionally, 2,413 participants received PHP414.42 each for selecting four correct digits, while 27,974 bettors will receive PHP20 each for matching three numbers.
The PCSO's 6/42 Lotto draws take place every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles has urged the public to continue supporting the agency's gaming products as these contribute to funding health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities.
